Norbert Hirschhorn has had several poems published recently. His poem ‘Portrait in Grey and Black” appeared in the September issue of Acumen. His poem ‘Syria, 2015’ appears in the anthology Poems for a Liminal Age. Norbert also has three poems in the fall issue of Horror Zine (US), and several haiku in Blithe Spirit.
Sarah Doyle has just been published in two exciting new anthologies. Her poem “Water” appears in This Body I Live In edited by Kate Garrett for Pankhearst Press; while her poem “Love Knots” features (by invitation) in Hands and Wings, an anthology of poetry inspired by and dedicated to the aims and work of the charity Freedom from Torture. The latter was edited by Dorothy Yamamoto and includes a specially written Foreword by Philip Pullman.

Member Anna Meryt’s poem Tumbleweed has been accepted for publication in the forthcoming winter issue of literary magazine The Dawntreader.
Member Jonathan Totman’s poem “Explosives Licence” has been published in Brittle Star, issue 37. This latest issue marks the magazine’s 15th birthday.

The first issue of Jonathan Totman’s new poetry and prose magazine, The Fenland Reed, is published this month. It features work by two Highgate Poets, Sarah Doyle and Annemarie Cooper, as well as poems and stories by writers from Fenland and across the UK. Member Jonathan Totman’s three-part sequence The Actor has been published in this month’s edition of the poetry magazine Obsessed with Pipework.
Rafael Q Publishers are producing a series of pamphlets under the title RQ poetry pamphlets. The first two in the series are ‘Eye Witness’ by Miriam Halahmy and ‘Family Division’ by Anne Ballard. Miriam and Anne are the featured poets at Torriano Meeting House on Sunday 19th July.
Two Highgate Poets are celebrating publishing success with new prose books. Miriam Halahmy has confirmed a publishing contract with Alma Books for her new children’s novel, The Emergency Zoo, due out May 2016.
Meanwhile, Anna Meryt has published her memoir, A Hippopotamus at the Table. Ten years in the making, the book documents her journey to a new life in Cape Town, South Africa in 1975. Anna was interviewed about her book on Arise TV news – you can listen to the interview here. Her book is available to buy on Amazon.
Member Frances Galleymore’s poem ‘Magician’ has been published in the latest edition of the Poetry Society’s publication Poetry News. It was one of five poems selected by Anne-Marie Fyfe on the theme of ‘Magic’.
