Anne Ballard’s poem ‘A Roman Housewife in Londinium considers the problem of fish sauce’ will appear in Magma 70, to be launched in early April. Her poems ‘Bus Stop’ and ‘A Long Drive in January’ will appear online in the spring and June editions respectively of London Grip.
Congratulations to Anne Ballard, whose poem ‘The Judge’s Wife’ has won third prize in the 2017 Poetry on the Lake Competition, formal category.
Former member Sarah Doyle was also highly commended in the Silver Wyvern category for poems on the theme ‘metal’.

Rafael Q Publishers are producing a series of pamphlets under the title RQ poetry pamphlets. The first two in the series are ‘Eye Witness’ by Miriam Halahmy and ‘Family Division’ by Anne Ballard. Miriam and Anne are the featured poets at Torriano Meeting House on Sunday 19th July.
Anne Ballard’s poem Paternal Relations has won first prize in the 15th Poetry on the Lake International Competition. Celebration to be held at Lake Orta, North Italy on 9th to 11th October 2015.
