Paul Stephenson has won the Paper Swans Press Poetry Pamphlet Competition with ‘Selfie with Waterlilies’. The competition was judged by Jill Munro and you can read her report on the Paper Swans Press website. We are looking forward to reading the published pamphlet!

Member Frances Galleymore has two poems in the summer issue of Orbis (176): Sleepwalking and The Orangery.
Member Jonathan Totman’s poem Hellenic has been published in the latest issue of Envoi.
Anne Ballard’s poem SKI-ers will appear in the September issue of Acumen.
Annemarie Cooper’s poem Scarlet Rose will appear in the autumn issue of The Fenland Reed.
The Fenland Reed is a magazine for new writing co-edited by member Jonathan Totman together with fellow poet Mary Livingstone. The second issue features new poetry from member Norbert Hirschhorn, as well as former members Sarah Doyle and Paul Stephenson. The first issue of Jonathan Totman’s new poetry and prose magazine, The Fenland Reed, is published this month. It features work by two Highgate Poets, Sarah Doyle and Annemarie Cooper, as well as poems and stories by writers from Fenland and across the UK. McLellan Arts Festival, Isle of Arran
Member Jonathan Totman’s poem Ghost has won third prize in the McLellan Poetry Competition, judged by Simon Armitage. The competition attracted over 1400 entries from all over the world. You can read Jonathan’s poem and the other prizewinning entries here.

Member Jonathan Totman, recently appointed Fenland Poet Laureate, has launched a new literary magazine, The Fenland Reed. Member Jonathan Totman has won the Fenland Poet Laureate Award with his poem Wicken Fen. Jonathan, who now lives in Cambridgeshire, will spend a year promoting the local poetry scene and facilitating events across the region. You can read more about the award here and at Jonathan’s new website.
