Member Jonathan Totman has jointly won the 2018 IOTA SHOT Pamphlet Award. His debut pamphlet, Explosives Licence, will be published by Templar Poetry in the coming months, with a launch on June 3rd at Keats House in Hampstead. The title poem will also appear in the anthology Best New British and Irish Poets 2018 (Eyewear Publishing). Jonathan is giving a reading at Needlewriters in Lewes, East Sussex, next month.

Paul Stephenson Wins Paper Swans Press Pamphlet Competition
Paul Stephenson has won the Paper Swans Press Poetry Pamphlet Competition with ‘Selfie with Waterlilies’. The competition was judged by Jill Munro and you can read her report on the Paper Swans Press website. We are looking forward to reading the published pamphlet!
Member Jonathan Totman’s entry, entitled ‘Explosives Licence’, was also highly commended in the competition.

The Fenland Reed is a magazine for new writing co-edited by member Jonathan Totman together with fellow poet Mary Livingstone. The second issue features new poetry from member Norbert Hirschhorn, as well as former members Sarah Doyle and Paul Stephenson. It features work by two Highgate Poets, Sarah Doyle and Annemarie Cooper, as well as poems and stories by writers from Fenland and across the UK. Jonathan Totman wins third prize in McLellan Poetry Competition

Jonathan Totman wins Fenland Poet Laureate Award
Member Jonathan Totman has won the Fenland Poet Laureate Award with his poem Wicken Fen. Jonathan, who now lives in Cambridgeshire, will spend a year promoting the local poetry scene and facilitating events across the region. You can read more about the award here and at Jonathan’s new website.
